Sound Fabrics: Pet Shop Boys – Beautiful People
Unbelievable? Nope, just so much true. ‘Beautiful People’ is the fifty-sixth official single in the history of this prolific British duo.
Formed in August 1981 by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, Pet Shop Boys have definitely had its ups and downs throughout nearly three decades of their existence. There are such pieces in their discography, though that make handing in this year’s award for outstanding contribution to British music to their hands well-founded.
“West End Girls“, “It’s a Sin” or “Being Boring” are just a few of them, let alone “Go West” – the one that became the anthem of any sort of sports events’ interludes across the globe.
Even though their brand new set published under not very complicated title “Yes” does not blaze a trail for pop music of 21st century, it still remains the strongest offer from the duo within the last decade.
The track is one of the RWC Fabrics serie where we present the best music picks of the week.
