3-MajówkaYearly Student Carnival is approaching. WROCKfest- the organizer of this unique spring event- has already released the lineup. As always you will have a chance to party to the music of Polish bands of best sorts.

As usually 3-Majówka will take place in centrally located Wyspa Słodowa.

On the 2nd of May you will have a chance to be entertained by StarGuardMuffin, Moniaka Brodka, happysad, Strachy Na Lachy, Myslovitz and as usually KNŻ (Kazik Na Żywo).

On the second day 3-Majówka, the 3rd of May, the stage on Wyspa Słodowa will belong to Fisz Emade (Tworzywo Sztuczne), Dezerter, Piersi, Dżem, Hey and Coma.

The concerts start at 1 pm. The two day ticket goes for 60 Zloty on presale. Make no other plans for the 2nd and 3rd of May- 3-Majówka is a must for all the fans of Polish rock, pop and reggae.

bass liberateToday Free Mind Section Crew and K12 club invites you for another edition of jungle / rave party Bass Liberate.

Free Mind Section is a Wrocław based DJ-ing / VJ-ing squad mixing such music genres like drum’n'bass, jungle, dubwise, dubstep, dub, reggae and dancehal. During their 3 year career they shared the scene with Marika & Ruff Radics, Numer Raz, Grubson, Dj Feel X, Bob One, Counterstrike, Audio and Forbidden Society.

Free Mind Section will be represented by Kakita, PtaQ, Clicker, Flipster and they will be joined by Sozi and Kade. Bass Liberate party starts today at 9pm and the admission’s free. news_3332Concrete Jungle Relief and Marrakech club proudly presents another jungle party and the concert of native Jamaican MC Culture Fox. As he puts it himself- his music is to open people’s minds and it’s aimed to fight against all evil, injustice and all the social divisions. It constitutes a resistance to the system and the governments that oppress young people and lead them to the wrong path.

Charismatic Culture Fox will be supported by Jabba Drummer on live percussion, MC Noze, MC Antone and the DJ sets by Wrocław based Free Mind Section and Simon Sayz from Warsaw.

Go to Marrakech club tomorrow at 9pm and immerse yourself in the peaceful yet energetic Jamaican music.

izraelThe legendary polish band Izrael, who are considered the pioneers of Polish reggae, will play on the 3rd of March in Łykend club.

The band came to being in 1982 and their music was always true to the classic roots-reggae style and became an icon of Polish incarnation of Jamaican music.

After 11 years of absence the band went back on stage in 2006 and decided to reactivate. In 2008 they recorded a new album in London, under the watchful eye of famous dubmaster- Mad Professor.

toMadness club on 5 Hubska Street organized quite a special event for all you people who like jamaican beats mixed with punk

The Toasters came out of the lower east side of Manhattan, New York in 1981. Cutting their teeth at legendary punk rock clubs, like CBGB’S, the band has proceeded on to defy industry skeptics by staying true to their original 2-Tone roots and earning their rightful place in the history of international Ska music.

The band has carved out their reputation and in 2007 surpassed the milestone of 4,500 live concerts performed throughout the world.

naamanNaaman is musical group from Lubin. They specialize in the classic roots-reggae and more energetic dance-hall. The band is well experienced on stage- they played on many festivals including Przystanek Woodstock, Ostróda Reggae Festiwal and Slot Art. Festiwal.

If the energetic reggae music is your type of thing go to Łykend club located on 38 Podwale Street on the 5th of March to see and hear the reggae band Naaman worming up the audience with their peaceful yet energetic music. The admission is 20 Zloty.

bakshishThe legendary Polish reggae squad- Bakshish will play in Alibi club in Wrocław on Sunday 30th of January. The band is especially praised for their live performances so do not miss this opportunity. It’s a one and only occasion because lately the band hasn’t been particularly active.

Bakshish started in the ’80s but their first album- “One Love”- was released in 1993. The band was a habitual guest of such festivals like Jarocin, Ostróda, Winnter Reggae, Bielawa, Przystanek Woodstock.

Bakshish will kick off in Alibi club at 8 PM. The tickets go for 20 Złoty.

Afryka_Reggae_Festiwal_2011
The biggest and oldest Reggae music festival in Poland is just about to kick off! This year’s edition of Africa Reggae Festival starts on Friday 28th of January in Toruń. The lineup includes such classics as Bakshish, Joint Venture Sound System, Natural Mystic and Vavamuffin.

It’s worth knowing that the total of festival’s revenue will be used to support the well construction in Sudan.
